Next Class: Living With World Religions - June 8-12

Picture
With the increase of multiple religions in the Western world, Christians need to be clear about Christian distinctives, sensitive towards others, and able to communicate appropriately. In this week long class, we will be addressing the plurality of religions that are now a part of western society.

We look forward to Dr. Andrew Brunson joining us to speak about "Living with Islam." He will also be giving a special Wednesday night session (June 10 from 6:30-9:00) on being "Prepared to Stand" in persecution. Others will address living with religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Mormonism, and Jehovah's Witnesses. We will also interact with pluralism. To see more, press the button below.

Costs for the seminar are $60 per day, apart from Wednesday. On Tuesday and Thursday, lunch will be included. If you would like to join by Zoom, the cost is $40 per day. At our Wednesday evening session, we will be taking an offering. If you register and pay by May 26, the cost will be $10 less per day (thus $50 per day). If you register after June 4, the cost will be $10 more (thus $70 per day).

What is the Congregational Institute?

The Congregational Institute exists to supplement the education of congregational pastors and enrich lay people with Christian education at the master level. Classes can be taken for academic credit or for personal enrichment. A key component of the Congregational Institute includes weeklong time together learning in person with each other and from qualified instructors (June 8 - 12 2026). Fellowship time over meals and a field trip or two will round out the experience. Those who cannot attend in person may join via Zoom. The Conservative Congregational Christian Conference heartily endorses the Congregational Institute at Central Schwenkfelder Church of Lansdale, PA.

The seminar on Systematic Theology at Central was a high quality seminary level course that was engaging, enlightening, and produced a solid understanding of essential Christian doctrine. It was an open academic environment where a layperson or seminary graduate could feel comfortable engaging with the material asking questions or sharing and the organizers did a great job facilitating fellowship. It's an understatement to say that I am better off for having attended. - Rev. Julian Scavetti
