Living with World Religions

June 8-12 (at Central Schwenkfelder Church or Zoom), 2026

Interacting with other world religions is a greater concern in America than it has been in previous generations. Religions such as Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism have worship centers in all states and in many cities nearby. Public schools are observing the holidays of other religions. Christians are forced to intersect to an ever greater degree with those with different worldviews.

Interacting with other religions well involves being sensitive to those from other religious backgrounds but also require wisdom to distinguish what must be presented in the Christian message.

In this one week seminar, we will be interacting with several of the  the main world religions of today. We will also be addressing the reality of pluralism in our age.

Our keynote instructor is Dr. Andrew Brunson (https://www.wavestarters.org/ ). He will also speak to us about Islam and persecution. Others will lead shorter sessions on living with Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, pluralism, Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Costs for the seminar are $60 per day, apart from Wednesday. On Tuesday and Thursday, lunch will be included. If you would like to join by Zoom, the cost is $40 per day. At our Wednesday evening session, we will be taking an offering. If you register and pay by May 26, the cost will be $10 less per day (thus $50 per day). If you register after June 4, the cost will be $10 more (thus $70 per day).
